This was a commissioned painting, but I got all the creative freedom I needed. The painting was going to be a wedding gift from parents to their daughter. So, I did what I love doing and used flowers and nature to tell the story. Two flowers, a Blue mink and a Coneflower (two very fertile flowers and important members of the eco-system), growing together on their love island. While they have their head in the clouds, the soft and protective embrace of trees are keeping them company. The pearls were a little touch by me, for good fortune and planted as symbolic seeds in the green bed.
