This piece was initially made as a part of a commission for Happinez magazine. They commissioned me to visualize a series of illustrations around the subject of ‘mourning and loss’. In the process of making paintings fueled by this heavy and beautiful theme, came up this work of an anonymous lady in blue.

She carries some flowers close to her heart, symbolic to carrying your losses with you through live. Someone called it; “The elegance of grief”
